Burials in the Eastport Cemetery located in Tishomingo County, Mississippi, include both African Americans and Caucasians. This cemetery was surveyed on November 3, 1996, by Shorty Bonds, Leon Johnson, and Judy Walker for the Tishomingo County Historical & Genealogical Society.
This Cemetery is divided by a road. Each side of the road has approximately 30 unmarked graves.
Driving Directions: From Iuka, Mississippi, take Eastport Road (also known as County Road 956) and drive approximately 8.5 miles. Turn left onto County Road 256, drive approximately 0.3 mile to an intersection at the top of a hill. Turn left. A metal gate is located approximately 50 feet further on the right. Walk past gate approximately 400 yards on field road. The cemetery is in a wooded area on both sides of the road. It is located on property owned by the Ludlum family.
