Saint James Baptist Church Cemetery
George County, Mississippi

Contributed by Jimmy Trussell

Travel west out of Lucedale, Mississippi on highway 198, you will come to an intersection with highway 98. Take a left onto highway 98 (going west), and you will go a couple miles. Here you will see a small store on your right (Carolynís Grocery), directly across the highway on your left (South) there will be a road. This road is called Bexley Road South, take it and go .4 tenths of a mile and St. James Baptist Church and cemetery will be on your right. The cemetery belongs to this church and they provide the upkeep. It is surrounded by a chain link fence and there were several unmarked graves in the cemetery. The cemetery was walked on the 22nd of December 2007 by Jimmy Trussell and information was taken from all legible temporary grave markers and headstone inscriptions.
